Loreto Grammar School is an 11-18 Roman Catholic Grammar School for Girls with Academy status located in Altrincham, in the Borough of Trafford. It is a thriving, successful and over-subscribed school, judged as “Outstanding” by Ofsted in September 2022 and by the Diocese of Shrewsbury.  We are proud to have been named as the North West Secondary School of the Year 2025.  Loreto is a happy place to work.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a SENDCo to lead the SEND provision and strategy at the school.  The role offers scope for development and to work alongside children who are willing, capable and self-motivated learners.  Experience of working with children with additional needs in a mainstream setting is essential together with a good knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.  Qualified Teacher Status and a SEND qualification is required or the school will support the completion of a SEND qualification within 3 years of appointment.  Previous experience of working in a similar role and as a teacher would be an advantage.  The successful candidate will join the established and supportive Loreto community and will be expected to commit to the ethos and values of the school.
